The benefits of calendula tea and the best ways to drink it

Because the scientific research on calendula tea is still somewhat spotty, it’s not entirely clear how much you need to drink to experience benefits. That said, there’s definitely no harm in drinking tea every day, and there are plenty of reasons to drink it, especially if you’re using tea instead of processed, sugar-laden drinks.
To incorporate more calendula into your daily routine, ditch the hassle of making a daily cup in favor of one larger pot. “I like to brew large batches of it at once and then store it in the fridge for later,” recommends herbalist Rachel Robinette, RH, founder of Pharmakon Supernatural® and HRBLS.
You can also add it in some unexpected places in meals and snacks. “Tea is also great in place of water in smoothies, oatmeal, rice, or other recipes you can sneak it into,” says Robinette.
It’s not necessarily the best time to use calendula, so if you find it soothing before bed, brew it at night. Or alternate it with regular tea or coffee as a hot morning drink.
