Herbalists’ favorite tricks for drying your herbs

If you live in a humid climate or it’s the wet season, hanging herbs is a better approach than a basket.
For this method, wrap the string around the grass stems and hang the bundle high as the heat rises. I have a baseboard in my kitchen with little nails and I hang the bundles on it. When the herbs are hanging, make sure they are fully exposed to air. Again, you don’t want them in direct sunlight.
If you’re dealing with a more humid plant like peppermint, you’ll want to hang individual stems. If a tiny piece of leaf folds over on itself, the area where it folds can turn black, and you don’t want that.
