Celestite is a strontium sulfate mineral characterized by a light blue color, jagged edges, and an icy appearance. According to crystal expert and co-founder of Energy Muse Heather Askinosi, celestite has been found in Egypt, Madagascar, Mexico, Poland, the United States and Great Britain.

As she tells mindbodygreen, the name celestite actually comes from a Latin word heavenlywhich translates to “heavenly” or “celestial” which is a good clue as to what this stone has to offer you.

“It’s very calming and serene, with a light blue and white energy in it that reminds me of clouds and a gentle, calming energy,” says Askinosi, adding that its jagged edges and icy quality can cut through heavy, dense, or dark energies.
