3 hydrating herbal waters filled with electrolytes

Unlike sports drinks, herbal water provides essential electrolytes without sugary additives or preservatives. Some examples of electrolytes include sodium, calcium, potassium, chloride, phosphate, and magnesium.

Herbs naturally contain small amounts of many of these minerals, so by adding herbs to water, we create a DIY electrolyte drink that’s healthier than most store-bought versions. Leafy herbs 2 like mint, basil, and rosemary tend to contain the electrolytes calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. Spices from seeds, such as coriander and cardamom, tend to contain more phosphorus.
